With help from some awards,
TK attended SUNY College at
Purchase, New York in 1986,
and studied under South
American woodcut artist
Antonio Frasconi. Frasconi's
work dealt primarily with
highly-charged political and
humanistic issues,and was
the mentor who helped
focus TK's artistic vision into
a series of woodcuts dealing
with environmental issues.

TK graduated with a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
from Purchase, and soon
began working for Alison
Palmer Studio. She also
began to concentrate on
creating sculpture, and soon
began to show her work at
galleries throughout the
New York/ Connecticut area.
Her work has attracted the
attention of the rock music
world, with Marilyn Manson
and Jonathan Davis ( of
Korn) possessing some of
her works.

TK currently lives in a rural
area of Dutchess County,
where she continues to
paint and create sculpture
and ceramics

Tanya Kukucka was born and raised in Westchester County,New York, along with
her two younger siblings Katherine and Phillip. She was attracted to art at an early
age. TK's was a humble working family living in the midst of the wealthy and
condescending local bourgeoisie, and the tragic death of her mother catalyzed the
anti-establishment, anti-preppie rage that breathed through much of her artwork
at the time.
